We are very sad to say this service has now come to the end of a 5 year programme. The programme has been a huge success in the Sheffield City Region and particularly across Rotherham . We have engaged with over 300 Rotherham young people and have seen 43% return to education and/or training and a massive 37% have entered in to sustained employment . We are currently working on funding applications to replace this much needed support for our young people in Rotherham.
This is a new service delivered by Rush House in partnership with Sheffield Futures. The service will run for 12 months and will support up to 20 young people who are deemed furthest from the labour to gain the confidence , skills and knowledge they need to return to or enter employment, education or training. All places have now been allocated to we are unable to take further referrals at this stage.

NEET Work – we have a part time worker allocated to work with our young care leavers around developing their future aspirations and helping them focus on developing much needed knowledge and skills for future employment. We run a number of group sessions throughout the week on areas such as “Job Club” whereby young people can get support to develop their CV and interview skills. Megan will also support young people on a 1:1 basis if required and will support with all aspects of Education, Training and Employment. We are fortunate to have some fantastic working relationships with local training providers such as The Learning Community and Lifeskills who have been in to speak to young people about what they can offer.
