Today we are hosting our first Time to Talk Time to Change event. Managers will be meeting with staff over coffee and cake to give them chance to come together and put mental health right at the top of our agenda, to share experiences and support each other. We will then be having a joint lunch with our young people before running a similar session with them. We hope by seeing staff and managers talking about mental well-being it might encourage them to do the same.
What better day to announce that Rush House has successfully been accredited by RMBC Public Health for the South Yorkshire Be Well @ Work Scheme and has been awarded the Bronze Award that we went for. We are so thrilled that our staff feel supported within the workplace and that the assessors could see this too. Huge thanks and congratulations to VF who took the lead on this piece of work and to all the staff who gave their time to take part in the assessment visit on 25th January 2019. Even better than the award itself were the comments from the assessor who said;
“I wanted to let you know how impressed I have been by all your staff whilst I have been working on this. The staff are quite clearly motivated and love the work they do. They show commitment and genuinely care about the people they support.”
“Finally can I just say from a personal point of view how impressed I am by the work your organisation does and the way your staff have conducted themselves throughout the whole process. You can be proud of the way things have gone I and look forward to working with VF and the team moving forward”.
It’s one thing believing that you and your team are committed and passionate about your work but when external assessors acknowledge it we know we really are on the right track. Thank you so much to RMBC Public Health for this opportunity – we look forward to working with you towards our Silver Award!
