Coronavirus Update

Please read our update here - https://rushhouse.co.uk/2020/09/18/an-update-from-us/

To all our supporters and followers we would just like to reach out and offer you some reassurance that we at Rush House continue to take all reasonable measures during these unprecedented times to keep our staff and service users safe and well. As you can imagine, for us there is no respite. There will be no closure – we remain very much on the frontline, offering 24-7 support to vulnerable young people. We are incredibly proud of our staff and our service users for showing such resilience and commitment to being “in this together” to keep things going as normal as possible for as long as possible. It also means that the demands on our service are increasing as we find ourselves in a position of needing to provide food parcels and essential toiletries to our young people so that they may follow the government guidelines to socially distance themselves. This of course brings its own challenges as our staff navigate the local shops and supermarkets desperately searching for those hoarded supplies and the impact this is having on our financial circumstances.

There is also a lot of positivity, reaching out between communities, checking in with neighbours etc and so if you find yourselves thinking of how you might reach out and help those more vulnerable than yourselves, now more than ever we would welcome your donations. Just a few pounds will provide essential food provisions for our young people to help them to keep fit and well during this difficult period. Please if you can help we would be so grateful. Stay safe everyone, hopefully in a few months we will be through the other side and have learned a little more about what is important in life.
