The big question is why ?

Rush is a local independent charity based in Rotherham but working with young people from all over the south Yorkshire area.
Young people seeking accommodation with us often arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing . We rely on donations to be able to provide them with essential items such as :
• Food
• Clothing
• Toiletries
• Towels
• New home starter packs
• Life Skills Training
• Health and Wellbeing sessions

Since 2010 we have accommodated well over 1000 young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who have been homeless, vulnerable and at risk . Over 1500 have used our services and benefited from our support. On average that’s 150 new young people every year walking through our doors and asking for help
Research shows that if you are homeless you are twice as likely to develop long term physical and mental health issues and three times as likely to develop addictions to drugs and alcohol.

Our Employment and education projects have supported hundreds of young people from the local area aged 16+ year old in the last 5 years.
